Emily Baker, MD
Medical Director
About Me: I have been involved in NNEPQIN from the beginning and even participated in the brainstorming process that created our name. I am a Maternal Fetal Medicine physician and have been at Dartmouth since my youngest was an infant so I can keep track of my greater than 30 year tenure here. I have always loved practicing in Northern New England where I know all the obstetrical providers by their voices on the phone. NNEPQIN has been the backbone of action impacting practice in our states, and I will always be grateful for that. In my free time I have done a variety of sports which have inevitably landed me in physical therapy. As much as I love Northern New England, I have been able to travel broadly around the world and hope to continue to do that for years.
Steve Ringer, MD, PhD
Medical Director
About Me: I have been directly involved with NNEPQIN since the end of 2015 . I am a neonatologist with about 40 years of experience starting in Boston and for the past 10 years st Dartmouth Hitchcock and Catholic Medical Center. NNEPQIN is to me a remarkable entity that facilitates open and productive interaction among the Maternal- Neonatal caregivers across our region. Through sharing practice approaches quandaries and successes, it makes everyone of us better at what we do and enhances all dimensions of care for our patients. This region is unique in being able to do this without hierarchy or domination from larger centers- every place has an equal voice and contributes to the collective success. My free time is spent on woodworking and gardening and seeing as much as possible of my kids and grandkids.
Julie Bosak, DrPH, CNM, MSN
Executive Director
About Me: I started my involvement with NNEPQIN as a member of the initial CRIB back in 2007 and continued participation in workgroups, research projects and conference presentations over the intervening years. I have a Masters of Nursing in Midwifery from Georgetown University and a Doctor of Public Health from Boston University. As a Certified Nurse-Midwife, I have worked both in the US and internationally in urban and rural settings with a wide variety of populations, providers and systems of care. Since 2005 I have practiced in NH with the majority of my clinical work in community-based sites from a rural access hospital to Federally Qualified Health Centers. My research and implementation background focuses on leading program and system change initiatives through community engagement to create patient centered improvements. I live in Conway NH where I enjoy the lakes and mountains with my family and black lab.
Emily Brayton, RN, BSN
Director of Operations
About Me: I have been involved with NNEPQIN since I first started as an inpatient OB Nurse in the Birthing Pavilion at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in 2009, attending robust educational conferences. I have a passion for caring for pregnant and postpartum people, their babies and their families which started at the young age of six years old. I enjoyed my time in the inpatient OB world tremendously and learned so much about how to care for those in our communities including the clinicians and teams caring for our loved ones. I feel so fortunate that now I get to bring this knowledge and these skills to the larger NNEPQIN community. What I love most about NNEPQIN and caring for people in Northern New England is that we are in a unique, rewarding and challenging position to care for our friends and family members and make the perinatal space better for all. I love spending time with my family and taking my dog for a walk every day, regardless of the weather.
Maddie Bridge, BS
Sr. Coordinator
About Me: I have been involved in NNEPQIN since 2024. I coordinate NNEPQIN’s conferences and projects, as well as assist with NNEPQIN’s administrative needs such as collecting membership dues. I really enjoy the camaraderie, passion, and kindness that I have experienced in the Northern New England perinatal health space since moving to the region. In my free time, I enjoy going to the farmer’s market, reading, and spending time outdoors with my partner and our Mini Bernedoodle.
